Frequently Asked Questions
How does the evaluation work?
After you record a speech and tap "Send for Evaluation", your audio is sent to an AI service that transcribes, analyzes, and scores your speech across four categories: Speech Development, Effectiveness, Speech Value, and Voice. You also receive a coached rewrite with delivery annotations.
Why did my evaluation fail?
This usually happens due to a slow or unstable internet connection. The AI needs to process your full audio recording, which can take up to a minute for longer speeches. Make sure you have a stable connection and try again.
What languages are supported?
You can speak and receive feedback in English, Swedish, Spanish, French, German, and Latvian. Change your language in Settings.
Where is my data stored?
All your data — recordings, transcripts, scores, and history — is stored locally on your device. Nothing is stored on our servers. See our Privacy Policy for details.
How do I delete my data?
You can delete individual speeches from your history, or delete the app entirely to remove all data.
What is the Word of the Day?
Each day you get a vocabulary word to challenge yourself with. Try to work it naturally into your speech. The evaluator will note whether you used it.
What is the coached script?
After evaluation, you receive a rewritten version of your speech with delivery cues (pause, slow down, emphasize, etc.). You can practice this version using the built-in teleprompter.
How is the score calculated?
Your speech is scored across four categories of 0–25 points each, for a total of 0–100. Penalties are applied for filler words (-3 per filler) and going over/under the time limit, following Toastmasters-style contest rules.
